Breathable films have been used successfully in textile, medical, and automotive applications having the most demanding requirements. Our films are also suitable for use in a wide variety of applications where polyurethane or other TPE's provide the right combination of performance and price.
Waterproof, Breathable, Windproof Films
Resin Type: Polyurethane, Copolyester, Ether-amide
A super thin hydrophylic film ideal for lamination to fabrics using most common adhesive systems. Thay are produced without the addition of lubricants or processing aids that might migrate to the film surface. This process results in laminates of extremely high durability.
Laminates of these films are used in a wide variety of demanding applications where high moisture vapor transmission, good drape, quietness, excellent stretch and recovery, and durable bonds are required. These include performance apparel, protective wear and medical applications.
All films are viral barriers. In addition, they exhibit excellent abrasion, temperature, and chemical resistance when compared to films produced from other polymers.
Films are cast into polyethylene, polyester or paper carriers in thicknesses from 0.2 to 6.0 mils and in widths up to 68 inches. Mid-performance waterpoof breathable films are also available without carrier in thicknesses of 0.8 mil or greater.
Applications:
These films are the softest, most elastomeric, and have the highest MVT rates of any hydophylic film available. Laminates produced with these films have excellent drape and are extremely soft and quiet. This breathable waterproofing material is the choice for an evergrowing list of activewear, sportswear, protective and medical apparel, and performance footwear manufacturers. Successful applications include, but are not limited to.

Moldable, Lubricant-Free, Heat-Resistant, Barrier Film
Resin Type: Polyurethane
Our family of thin, high-molecular weight, polyether thermoplastic urethane (TPU) barrier films. It is supplied either cast on a film carrier or as unsupported blown film.
The film is produced without the addition of processing aids or modifiers (lubricants) that can negativley impact surface properties such as bond strengh. Unsuported blown films use the minimum additives required to process the TPU resin. The exceptional adhesion properties of films produced by either extrusion method allow lamination to other substrates by most commercial processes. The resulting laminates have outstanding durability, chemical, and abrasion resistance properties, and hydrolytic stability.
This film is widely used in the automotive industry for vacuum-formed fabric laminates and foam-in-place applications. Our polyurethane film is cast in thicknesses from 0.2 to 6.0 mils and in widths up to 68 inches. Blown film is available in thicknesses from 0.8 to 20 mils and widths up to 85 inches.
Applications:
Ideal for flame bonding or other lamination techniqies. The no-lubricant and low-lubricant versions offer durable bonds in foam-in-place, vacuforming and other 3-D part manufacturing processes. The toughness, abrasion resistance, chemical and temperature resistance, and elastomeric properties of polyurethane also make this film suited for applications where the film is in constant motion. Successful applications include:
Medical
Automotive interiors
- Foam-in-place seating
- Arm & head rests
- Headliners
- Trunk liners
Other key uses
- Coated fabrics
- Adhesive films
- Upholstry
