Nylon 6/6 Applications

  • Transportation Systems
  • Medical Devices
  • Fluid Handling Systems
  • Evironmental Equipment
  • Telecommunications

Characteristics

  • Good abrasion resistance as compared to Nylon 6
  • The addition of glass fibre improves stiffness
  • Better low temperture toughness than acetal, PBT, or Nylon 6
  • Good fatigue resistance
  • The strongest aliphatic nylon

Nylon 11 Applications

  • Medical
  • Automotive
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Electrical Cables
  • Petroleum industry

Characteristics

  • Good abrasion resistance when compared to nylon 6
  • The addition of glass fiber improves stiffness
  • Better low temp toughness than Acetal, PBT, or nylon 6
  • The strongest aliphatic nylon
  • Good fatigue resistance

Nylon 12 Applications

  • Medical Devices
  • Optical
  • Electronics Systems
  • Automotive
  • Appliances

Characteristics

  • Lowest water absorption at approximately 2% at saturation
  • Translates into good dimensional stability and electrical properties
  • Tougher than nylon 11, comparatively low density
  • Good chemical and stress crack resistance
  • Very flexible grades available Amorphous grades offer more translucence
