Convoluted Tubing is the ideal solution for many advanced applications. Applications are: electrical, chemical, automotive, medical, and other industries where convoluted tubing that can stand up to the abuse of hostile environments. Applied’s convoluted tubing combines the flexibility of helical convolutions with the advanced properties of PEEK, a resin that excels in many rigorous applications.
PEEK is a high performance resin with amazing strength and heat resistant properties – it has been a popular replacement for metal in many areas because of its outstanding weight advantage.
Convoluted tubing can be produced in both standard sizes and (PTFE only) extra flex size configurations. Extra flex size means more convolutions per inch – the extra convolutions allow the material to flex without kinking on tight bend radiuses.
Our Convoluted Tubing comes in two colours, black and natural. PEEK is tan in its natural colour. PTFE tubing is produced in black while all other resins are natural colour.
The following table details Applied's and Mil Spec. numbers and dimensions for our standard PTFE convoluted tubing. Custom sizes and configurations are also available. Standard convoluted tubing is also available in FEP (AMS-T-81914/3) and ETFE (AMS-T-81914/6).
